Tarantino's inspiration for Death Proof, this ozsplotation classic is a wild ride from start to finish.

We start this film in the picturesque Australian outback where our hero Jessica (Cassandra Delaney) is running an animal sanctuary. At the same time, a gang of kangaroo poachers are moving in on Jessica's turf to do some poaching. Little do they know, she is more than willing to defend the animals and herself. Will Jessica protect the animals in her care from these asshole poachers? Find out in: Fair Game.

I had no idea what I was getting into when I decided to check this out. It's a wild ride with great vehicle stunts (an especially wild stunt involving the poacher's truck and Jessica) and a great lead performance from Delaney. The editing sets up the tension beautifully. There are scenes when Jessica can't get help from disbelieving authority figures that will have you seeing red. Also, there are lots of beautiful shots of the outback.

Why you should watch:

  • You enjoy crazy vehicle stunts - Mad Max style.

  • You enjoy a strong female lead.

  • You want to see the rare female revenge film that doesn't feature an extended rape scene.

  • Australia is awesome.

Why you shouldn't watch:

  • You don't want to watch violence against a woman.

  • You don't want to watch violence against animals.
