There's something comforting about Chuck Norris movies.

Three years ago, detective Danny O'Brien (Chuck Norris) put away the notorious serial killer "The Terror". Now The Terror has escaped and it's up to O'Brien to put him back behind bars and live up to his title of "Hero".

I must confess that I haven't seen very many Norris films, but I think I'm becoming a fan. His dry delivery of the many one-liners featured in this movie was very charming.

Being a Cannon production, you know this is a quality B-movie. I do wish we got a bit more Norris butt-kicking action, but what we do get is a decent little badass cop vs. psycho serial killer cat-and-mouse. And the action we do get is pretty fantastic thanks to Norris's martial arts skills.

Just a man doing manly things.

For this type of movie, the relationship between O'Brien and his girlfriend Kay (Brynn Thayer) was well realized. I found myself caring about their relationship and worried that she might fall victim to the villain of the movie.

Find yourself a man who looks at you like that,

So next time you're looking to while away a lazy Sunday afternoon, put on Hero and the Terror and enjoy the soothing aura of Chuck Norris.

Why you should watch:

Why you shouldn't watch:

  • You expect more butt-kicking in your action movies.

  • You don't like movies that depict violence against women.
