An evil entrepeneur wants to resurrect the giant, Aramis so he can take over the world.

The first minute of this movie had me hooked. I don't even know how to begin to describe the madness. Here's a little taste:

The intro gets even stranger after this odd trailer-like opening. Carel Struycken (Mr. Homm in Star Trek: TNG) shows up for a hot minute, a man turns his fingers into snakes, there's an amazing effects shot of a giant, and a man levitates and shoots a Kamehameha at a giant.

The biblical-verse-inspired plot is amusing enough. It follows archaeologist Matt Fletcher (Casper Van Dien), whose research accidentally unleashes the terror of Aramis into the world. Now, he's the only one who can stop it. The fallen angel, Ammon (Navid Negahban), is now trying to use his giant son Aramis to take over the world. And Matt Fletcher is the only one who can stop him.

Sadly, the middle of the movie doesn't keep up this level of insanity. But what it does have is loads of low-budget cheese. I truly love every cheap prop and special effect featured in this and I look forward to checking out more Sci-Fi Channel movies.

There are plenty of unintentionally silly things to keep you laughing and some 'great' B-movie acting. And then there's the last 30 minutes. Let's just say things pick up. We finally get our promised giant mummy action. We also get a bonus treat. It's a human-powered giant mech.

There are about a dozen other crazy things that happen in this movie that I'm not going to get into. Let's just say that if you're a fan of B-movies check this out.

Why you should watch:

  • Do you like B-movies or you are B-movie curious?

  • You like cheesy movies.

Why you shouldn't watch:

  • You want your alleged horror movie to contain anything even remotely horrifying.
